The City has published details of the application to redevelop 70-80 Wicksteed (Lake Leaside site) and nearby properties. The application proposes the relocation of Canadian Tire, which currently occupies a site slated for development by RioCan.
The applications propose commercial and retail uses within four one and two-storey new buildings ranging in size from 616m² up to 18,059m², with a total gross floor area of 20,184m² and would include a total of 403 vehicle and 138 bicycle parking spaces . Also proposed is the extension of Vaughan Street and Parkhurst Boulevard to connect with Wicksteed Avenue.
The City is holding a consultation on Tuesday June 1, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Register online.
