Candidates Meeting

The candidates meeting will commence at 8 p.m., concluding around 9:30 p.m. Due to circumstances beyond our control over the weekend, the LRA regrets to inform you that although all four main parties were invited to attend and participate in the LRA Candidates Meeting, only the  Liberal and Green Party candidates have agreed to appear at our Meeting tonight.

LRA tried to accommodate other candidates’ schedules, but was unable to do so.

The following candidates will be attending:

  • Linnea Löfström-Abary, New Democratic Party of Canada
  • Rob Oliphant, Liberal Party of Canada

Submit your questions!

After opening statements, the candidates will respond to audience questions. Questions must be submitted in writing, either in advance or at the meeting itself (on paper cards that will be distributed; please bring your own pen or pencil). As the aim of the meeting is to hear from candidates on as wide a range of issues as possible, questions may be condensed and/or synthesized. Due to time constraints, not all questions may be posed. Oral questions from the audience are not permitted.

The LRA remains neutral in all such meetings and campaigns and does not nominate or sponsor in the name of the association any person as a candidate for election.

Info about past candidates meetings is online: https://leasideresidents.ca/events/
