Leaside Community Safety Meeting
Virtual Webinar – Tuesday, April 7, 7 to 9 p.m.
Leaside residents are invited to a virtual community meeting with Councillor Rachel Chernos Lin, MPP Stephanie Bowman and MP Rob Oliphant, along with representatives from the Toronto Police Service, for a discussion on community safety in Leaside in response to recent concerns.

Protecting the Ontario Science Centre Building
The LRA supports Councillor Matlow’s motion that City Council: request the Province of Ontario to provide a comprehensive update on the condition and status of repairs of the Ontario Science Centre buildings and any building stabilization activities that have been or will be implemented, and request the Province to maintain the outdoor landscaping and activity installations at the Science Centre site and provide public access to serve the recreation needs of the Thorncliffe and Flemingdon Park Communities.

Ontario Line Construction
We applaud Metrolinx’ 4th quarter update report on the Ontario Line construction in North York, in being comprehensive and inclusive of the status of all parts of the program. Going forward, we request that the City give consideration to longer term impacts of the Ontario Line and TOC on Thorncliffe Park and Flemingdon Park by undertaking Secondary Plans that would consider the population impacts, improving public realm, and infrastructure needs of the communities in light of the Ontario Line.

849 Eglinton Ave. E. Community Meeting

Developer PEM Eglinton LP is hosting an applicant-led Community Meeting to discuss the updated plans for the redevelopment of 849 Eglinton Avenue East into a new mixed-use development. There will be a short presentation by members of the Project Team followed by a Question & Answer session. They look forward to sharing more information with you on the updated vision for the site.
