Leaside’s first-ever the street festival, takes place Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, 2024, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at and around 25 Commercial Road, hosted by the Motorista Creative Society in collaboration with the Leaside Heritage Preservation Society

Celebrate Leaside’s rich heritage and lively community. Enjoy live music, experience captivating local art, and savour delicious food from local vendors. You’ll also have the chance to view exhibits on Leaside’s industrial past.

Live at OCAD University, 60 residents’ associations will host a public meeting to introduce leading mayoral candidates to the people of Toronto. With an outreach to 900,000 residents, this unique event could be a game changer in the municipal election.

The City of Toronto is inviting residents to learn more about the Leaside Neighbourhood Transportation Plan (LNTP) which is being developed to address transportation conditions in the neighbourhood.

You are invited to join your friends, neighbours, local businesses, community advocates & politicians on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, to help celebrate the 110^th anniversary of the incorporation of the Town of Leaside.

The event will be held at the Amsterdam Brewhouse (45 Esandar Drive) from 5 to 8 p.m. As there are capacity limits, please sign up via the link below to let us know you are interested in joining us. An official event invite with additional details will be sent 2 weeks prior to the event to all interested parties who sign up by April 15, 2023. Please feel free to share this invite with your friends and family.

There are 3 important community consultation meetings (so far) this month – all virtual. They include 1779-1787 Bayview (35 storey LRT station building), 589-595 Eglinton Ave. E (35 storeys), 2-20 Glazebrook (34 storeys) and 1840 Bayview (34 storeys). Registration is required to attend.

If you have views on these proposals, please attend the meeting(s) below and express yourself. The LRA believes that a framework plan for these developments is urgently needed.

On the first weekend of May, people around the world are encouraged to participate in Jane’s Walks.
